Sheriff, appreciate the message about building relationships. Our agency began in earnest when I came in as Chief of Police a few years ago. You are on the mark, and its not as easy as saying, lets be friends. HA. Much different.
There are so many factors outside of your awareness or control. But as you said, don’t give up on it.
